Coca-Cola Bottling Plant
Windhoek – Namibia
Coca-cola Bottling Plant in Windhoek, Namibia is run by Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA). The Group commissioned the solar PV plant due to its commitment to sustainability and its Group targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As one of the 5 African countries perfect for solar PV, Namibia was an ideal location for CCBA to install the solar PV system.
SOLA carried out the design, procurement and construction of the industrial facility’s solar PV project. The 574.2 kWp solar system consists of 1,740 solar modules and 9 inverters. With a capacity of 425 kVA, the solar system is expected to produce over a million kWh of clean energy per year – resulting in 902 tons of CO2 reduction per year, on top of added financial savings.
