Jonathan obtained his MSc with distinction in Technology Policy and Management from Edinburgh University in 2010. He has over a decade of experience in solar construction, project development, policy and engineering deisgn. His experience spans the full spectrum of renewables in South Africa, from the implementation of commercial and industrial rooftop solar plants, to development work on several utility scale solar plants including a 100MW CSP plant in the Northern Cape. He is also a longstanding contributor and section author for the REN21 Renewables Global Status Report, the world’s foremost publication on global renewable energy markets, trends and policy.
