Our Track Record

SOLA specialises in delivering clean energy to corporate clients
through Power Purchase Agreements and energy wheeling. We
have built nearly 3GW of solar assets which we own. We’ve also
raised nearly R20 billion in capital to construct these projects and
now have an operational portfolio of 535MW. Our footprint
streches across all nine provinces of South Africa, and in Namibia,
Mozambique and the Seychelles.

Traditional and Virtual Wheeling

SOLA pioneered the large-scale wheeling of renewable power in South Africa with the implementation of the 10MW Adams solar PV project for Amazon. Since then, we’ve added three more wheeling facilities to the national grid totaling over 460MW wheeling energy to various buyers. In 2025, SOLA also led the adoption of Virtual Wheeling in SA, signing the first agreement in this respect with Vodacom.
