Portfolio is 4.9 MW consisting of 4 breweries:

1.3 MW, ALRODE BREWERY

Alrode  Brewery is one of AB InBev’s South African breweries, known for producing some of Mzansi’s  most popular beers such as Castle Lager and Black Label. As part of SOLA’s partnership with AB InBev to supply their South African breweries with renewable power, the solar PV facility at Alrode consists of a 1.3 MW system installed on the warehouse roof.

The PV system, which consists of over 3800 solar modules, is able to produce 2.2 million kWh of clean energy per year – enough to result in 1425 tons of GHG equivalent savings. The PV system was constructed over 12 weeks, under extremely strict health and safety protocol.

1 MW, ROSSLYN BREWERY

Johannesburg, Gauteng

SOLA designed, built, commissioned, owns and operates the 1 MWp solar PV system for AB-InBev Rosslyn Brewery in Gauteng, South Africa. Rosslyn Brewery, operated by the South African Breweries, is one of SAB’s largest breweries, known as “the home of Bud in Africa”.

The solar PV system, which produces around 1.4 M kWh of clean energy per year, is installed on the historic brewery’s roofs. Its installation will save over 1300 tons of CO2eq per annum, providing clean energy to the brewery for the coming years through a Power Purchase Agreement with AB-InBev.
