Harmony Project

SOLA Group is proud to have designed and constructed the 30 MW Harmony Gold solar project in Odendaalsrus, Free State. As part of Harmony’s commitment to sustainability, this project consists of three 10 MW solar PV plants, strategically located at the Tshepong, Eland, and Nyala mining operations.

Commissioned in May 2023, the projects collectively generate approximately 68GWh of clean energy annually, reducing Harmony’s reliance on the national grid and enhancing energy security for its operations. This initiative helps Harmony Gold reduce their carbon emissions by around 65,000 tonnes per year and deliver significant cost savings over its 15-year lifespan.
