The 75MW Adams Solar PV Project Two project was originated by SOLA and developed as a greenfield site before partnering with Enel Green Power, a large Italian utility, ahead of Round 3 of South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Program (REIPPPP).

After submission and award by the REIPPPP, SOLA continued to manage key aspects of the Financial Close process. SOLA’s involvement ended 6 months into construction once the necessary site infrastructure had been established and all duties required on the permits and authorisations had been discharged. The project has been constructed using fixed tilt thin-film panels.

Key activities by SOLA:

• Complete permitting and licensing of project
• Management of the grid integration design and authorisation process
• Comment and consultation on design drawings in relation to permits and authorisations
• Management of construction mobilisation and permitting work
