Power Purchase Agreements
SOLA’s innovative power purchase agreements wheeling contracts allow businesses and large energy consumers to purchase green electricity based on their exact energy requirements and preferred contract duration. Energy is available from mature projects that are entering construction, providing a rapid route to bulk financial savings and green benefits for interested buyers
Our Comprehensive Turnkey Solutions Include:
Long-and-medium-term PPAs
SOLA has delivered well over half a gigawatt of renewable energy capacity to private buyers under PPA agreements. Our long-term PPAs (typically 20 years) allow us to achieve highly optimised tariffs, resulting in substantial savings relative to prevailing grid tariffs. Long-term PPAs are a partnership and we guarantee that all long-term buyer’s reliably and routinely receive their contracted benefits in terms of delivered energy and decarbonisation. SOLA has also pioneered the provision of medium-term PPAs (approximately 10 years) on the back of our groundbreaking multi-buyer projects. By securing multiple buyers from an individual generation asset, we can offer a range of PPA durations to best match our buyer’s requirements in terms of term and tariff. SOLA is the sole company in South Africa to successfully finance a true multi-buyer project of this nature.
