NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR TRADING LICENCE OF ELECTRICITY

In terms of Section 11 of the Electricity Regulation Act, 2006 (Act No. 4 of 2006); SOLA Tradeco (Pty) Ltd hereby notifies all stakeholders within South Africa that a trading licence application has been lodged with the National Energy Regulator (NERSA), subject to the approval of the Energy Regulator. 

The activity of trading of electricity will consist of buying energy from a local generator controlled by SOLA and selling that energy to the off-takers/buyers within the local South African Market, subject to SOLA Tradeco (Pty) Ltd being accepted as a trader within the South African market. 

The generator is located close to Virginia, in the Free State.

The licence application is available for inspection at Matjhabeng Local Municipality Virginia, 11 Union Street, Virginia in Free State (28°06’27.8″S 26°51’50.7″E). Please contact Mr Molefi Phumo at (+27) 57 212 3111.

All interested parties and/or any member of the public may lodge written objections with NERSA, within 30 days from the date of this publication. Such objections must be in a form of an affidavit and must be directed to NERSA through any of the addresses below:
